BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW A Biblical worldview is reflected in our school activities, curriculum, teaching, and also in our Statement of Faith . University Structured Our students have on-campus instruction three days a week and instruction at home two days a week. Smaller Class Size Standard class size is 12:1 for elementary classes, 18:1 for middle school classes, and 20:1 for high school classes. 3 Knoxville Campuses We offer K4-12th grade education across three Knoxville campuses. Jeremiah 17:7-8a NIV River’s Edge provides core curriculum instruction in a five-hour classroom day with afternoon classes available in the upper grades. This schedule allows students time to develop their individual God-given gifts while enjoying family life and learning in various settings. As a college-preparatory school striving for academic excellence, River’s Edge is not only a certified UMSI high school, but our elementary through high school is dually accredited through both CSI and Cognia . Our K4-8th grade lower academy and our 9th-12th grade upper academy are both ACSI members. Our Administrators We have an awesome staff and great group of teachers at our school. Here are the administrators who lead them. BRIAN BEEMER Head Administrator Brian Beemer loves the Church and is passionate about it and the Word of God. He has served as our Head Administrator since the Summer of 2015. JEREMY EAGAN Middle and High School Campus Administrator Jeremy Eagan has been our middle and high school administrator since 2020. He has been working in Christian education since 2006 as a leader, writer, teacher, mentor, and athletics coach. Jacob Stock North Elementary Campus Administrator Jacob Stock has been our administrator for the North Campus since 2011. He has taught in a classical school as well as teaching Bible, history, science, speech and debate. Lori Major West Elementary Campus Administrator Lori Major has been our administrator for our West Elementary Campus since 2011. She has enjoyed working with children for many years. What Others SayWe are completing our 5th year at River’s Edge and love it as much as we did when we started. We believe in the educational partnership it allows us to combine with our desire to teach at home. Equal to that, we cherish the spiritual partnership and the fact that it is a great fit for our family lifestyle. We couldn’t say more about the personalities and educational experience our children have gotten from their amazing teachers there as well. I have often told people that there are few things in our life that we have as much peace about then where our children go to school. What a blessing the Lord has given us in this community of educational believers. Darin Berkley RECA Dad since 2010 I wanted to be involved in my children’s education. I also wanted them to experience the social setting of a classroom. At RECA we get the best of both worlds. I know that my children are being taught and guided by Christian principles and this is so very important to me. I love the intimate setting with the low numbers in the classroom that allows the teacher to spend one-on-one time with my children. RECA is like family to us. I can’t imagine my kids being anywhere else! Some of the things I love about RECA is that we get to pick and teach our own Bible curriculum, but for other subjects all the lesson planning and scheduling is done for us. My boys love going to school and seeing their friends, but they also love having P.E.” twice a week with their other sibling at home!
